NOTE:
Certain variations in the colour and texture of the product are due to the hand processes – a unique feature of the garments and not a defect.
Colour bleeding is normal in naturally dyed garments in the initial washes after which the colours stabilise. Natural dyes fade naturally as a part of the ageing of the garment.
A hand-sewn wool overcoat, lined with indigo dyed cotton.
The body of the jacket is hand woven Harsil wool fabric - an indigenous wool of Uttarakhand. The coarse wool is lined with cotton fabric and soft merino is used to knit the sleeves, collar and pockets.
The counted thread Fair-isle knitting technique is used to knit the sleeves of the overcoat.
The entire jacket is hand sewn - and is a celebration of the elaborate hand-skills of spinning, dyeing, weaving, knitting and embroidery.
