Handloom Weaving

Uttarakhand has a rich tradition of wool weaving. A range of throws, shawls, and fabric has been woven over centuries using the indigenous wool obtained from the sheep which are reared in the far off high altitudes of the Himalayan landscape. Various fulling techniques and pile knotting techniques are unique to the region. Further, the English influence introduced a range of tweed fabrics, which have gained popularity amongst weavers over time.
We weave natural dyed handspun merino, indigenous Harsil wool and also handpsun Himalayan nettle into fabrics for our overcoats.
